INDY COULD BE GAYER

Hi friends and enemies,

Indianapolis is home, but it can definitely be gayer. I’m not complaining, I’m telling you my mission statement. Every week, The Indy Gay Agenda will share a curated look at what's happening and what, or who, is hot. News, events, perspectives. Loud and queer.

Glad you're here, bb. Now let's get into it.

Dining Out For Life, April 30. A girl’s gotta eat. One of the longest-running HIV fundraising dining events in the country, and Indy's version is a celebration. Local restaurants, bars and even the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater is donating a portion of proceeds to the Damien Center. If you’re gay, you know the org. Lleading HIV care and advocacy in our community. Eat, drink, be merry. Find participating restaurants.

Hard Candy with Mia Starr, Wednesday, May 6 RuPaul's Drag Race Season 18 queen Mia Starr is gracing Greg's Our Place with her presence for for a meet & greet and show hosted by Indy icon Pat Yo Weave. 21+, doors at 7, showtime at 8. Bring cash and be on time. Greg’s runs a tight ship with showtimes! Tickets on Eventbrite.

Indy Pride 5K, Saturday, May 9. Sprint, stroll, sashay or w/e. The world, at least a few blocks of Indy, is your runway. Now at the scenic  White River State Park Event starts at 9 AM. You’ll still have time for brunch. Register here.

PrideReads: Tales of the City, May 18. Indy Pride's new book club is reading Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin, in partnership with Mass Ave gem, Tomorrow Bookstore. Attendees get 10% off the book and the conversation is led by Dr. Alex Richardson, Chair of the Indy Pride Board. This is exactly the kind of thing that makes a city gayer. Go.

That's it. More next week. Tell a friend. Tell an enemy. Tell your mom!
